Apple can launch M1X powered MacBook Pro this month as per reports

Apple recently got done with the California Streaming event where it unveiled the new iPhone 13 models. At the event, the company also launched new Apple Watch and iPad models. Alongside, the company was rumoured to launch the new M1X powered MacBook Pro.

While that obviously did not happen, a new report now states that the new Pro machines from Apple are slated to launch very soon. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, who has maintained a fairly accurate record when it comes to Apple leaks, claims that the Pro MacBooks will launch in October.

Traditionally, Apple has announced Mac related products in October, so this would fit. There were also traces of the new MacBook Pro and the new processor found within the beta for the latest OS update, macOS Monterey.

The M1X has been developed in two different variations, according to the report. Both versions of the chip feature a 10-core design with eight high-performance cores and two high-efficiency cores. One variant will have a 16-core GPU while the other, will be a 32-core GPU.

The new MacBook Pro is also expected to have some major redesigns, like a smaller chassis and a larger number of I/O options such as HDMI, SD Card Slots and more. Apple’s MagSafe charging will also be included and the touch bar will likely be getting the axe.

According to industry sources, the shipments for LEDs and associated components to Apple assembly partners relating to the MacBook Pro models are on schedule as expected.

Rumours further note that the new MacBook’s may have a mini LED display. There were also some other rumours that hinted at some wild dual-screen tech but it seems that will not be happening, at least for now.
