We have long heard the rumors from many of the experts that Apple plans to discontinue its iMac Pro and that the company will be doing it once the existing stock of the product overs. According to the latest info, the company’s iMac Pro buy page no longer offers options to configure the workstation ‘all in one’.

Customers can however place orders, but they have to choose only a pre-configured model of the ‘all in one’. And to add to our suspicion, the company has also presented a text on the buy page stating ‘While Supplies Last’, indicating that Apple might be discontinuing this version shortly.

Apple, itself has confirmed it will end sales of the iMac Pro and has recommended you go for something else. Well, the current buy page of the product all but confirms the discontinuation of the product.

A 2020 Apple iMac refresh with a new 10 core Intel Core i9-10910 CPU & AMD Radeon Pro 5300 graphics spotted

Customers who want to purchase an ‘all in one’ are recommended to purchase the 2020 27-inch iMac instead.

So here’s the configuration of the model:

  • 27-inch Retina 5K 5120-by-2880 P3 display
  • 3.0GHz 10-core Intel Xeon W processor (Turbo Boost up to 4.5GHz)
  • 32GB 2666MHz ECC memory, configurable up to 256GB
  • 1TB SSD storage
  • Radeon Pro Vega 56 with 8GB HBM2 memory
  • 10Gb Ethernet
  • Four Thunderbolt 3 ports

But, we recommend users have some patience and wait for the redesigned iMac models with either an M2 or an A14T chipset slated to launch later this year. The models will be a major beast if it comes with M2 and would certainly not disappoint the customers.
