The internet’s legendary fan fiction hub, Archive of Our Own, has finally graduated from beta after 17 years. Operating as a nonprofit, ad-free ecosystem, AO3 hosts over 13 million works. Unlike commercial giants like Wattpad, AO3 prioritizes community-driven tagging and zero monetization. This milestone isn’t just a version update; it’s a permanent declaration that the fan-powered archive is here to stay.
