Benchmarking site AnTuTu has released its smartphone ranking for December 2021. The reports show that there has been no major difference in the ranking in comparison to that of November 2021.
Things are likely to change this January, however, as we are looking at the launch of multiple devices equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 4S Pro maintains the top spot when it comes to flagship models. The gaming smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip paired with 16GB RAM and has maintained the lead since October 2021.
The second spot is occupied by the Nubia Red Magic 6S Pro while the iQOO 8 Pro completes the top 3 best performing smartphones.
AnTuTu did mention that the lack of sufficient data was responsible for the absence of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-powered phones on the chart despite the launch of two models, the Xiaomi 12 and Motorola Edge 30 Ultra in December 2021.
The models will in all likelihood dominate the rankings for January 2022 which we will see in February. Already, the models are on sale with the Xiaomi 12 Series recording a stellar sales performance in its first outing.
Coming to the midrange segment, Vivo’s iQOO Z5 maintains its lead yet again despite facing intense competition from other brands.
Honor 60 Pro emerged as the second-best mid-ranger around, replacing the Oppo K9s 5G. The Honor 60 Pro is on par with the iQOO Z5 with the presence of UFS 3.1 storage being the major point of differentiation between the two models.
The Reno 7 from Oppo is also another new entrant into the charts, securing third place.
