Manchester United forward Antony is not expected to leave the club during the January transfer window. The player was linked with a return to his native Brazil on the back of problems in his personal life, and a poor run of form on the pitch.
The forward was charged with domestic abuse by his former girlfriend, and was suspended from the first team right away. He was only recently restored to the line-up, but has been unable to be as productive as expected.
Antony not expected to leave Manchester United in January transfer window
This season, the winger has made 11 appearances across all competitions, racking up only 628 minutes while providing no goal contributions. His massive price tag worth €90 million, which United paid to Ajax last summer after a public transfer saga hasn’t helped his cause either, with the numbers only adding to the expectations.
While Antony is expected to stay at Manchester United, the same cannot be said for Jadon Sancho. The former England international has been sidelined since his public comments against Erik Ten Hag’s reasons for excluding him for the game against Arsenal.
A return to Borussia Dortmund has been rumoured for the forward, while Juventus are also interested in signing the forward on a loan spell. However, no club has come forward with an offer just yet. It seems increasingly likely that Sancho has played his last game for United, and will eventually be moved on once the January transfer window opens.
