Antonio Rudiger is waiting for Chelsea’s new owners to be announced before making his decision. The centre-back is out of a contract with the Champions League winners at the end of the season, and would leave as a free agent.

But, he is very fond of London and would like to continue with Chelsea. As a result, he is waiting for the current situation to be sorted out so that he can continue to talk about a new contract with the board.

Prior to the club being sanctioned, there were reports that the Germany international had reached an agreement for a new contract. But now that Chelsea are prohibited from extending anyone’s deals, they are unable to talk to Rudiger about his future.

With the new owners expected to be announced this week or the next, we could be hearing more about Antonio Rudiger’s future very soon. Several top clubs have been in contact with the player and his agent for a free move in the summer.

Real Madrid are one of the clubs in constant contact with the centre-back. Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are also in the race for the player if he chooses to leave.

Ideally, Rudiger would extend his deal with Chelsea for the coming years due to his importance to the line-up. He has been the star defender for the Blues under Thomas Tuchel, and has shown his importance to the side time and time again. As a result, he deserves to be given a new deal to continue his invaluable contributions to the side.
