What is Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania?
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is a forthcoming movie about two of the Marvel characters, Ant-Man and The Wasp. The latest sequel follows the 2018’s Ant-Man and The Wasp and will be directed by Peyton Reed. The plot has not been announced yet, but it is believed that the Quantum Realm will play an important part in the story as well as the evil antagonist Kang the Conqueror, who will be played by Jonathan Majors.
The movie will also feature newcomers Jonathan Majors and Kathryn Newton, who are cast as villains Kang the Conqueror/Victor Timely and Cassandra Lang/Stature respectively. Plot details are largely being kept under wraps at this stage in production, but it’s thought that some variant of the physical law known as quantum entanglement will play a major role in this movie’s storyline.

Empire Magazine recently had a chat with director Peyton Reed about how the stakes have risen going into Quantumania. “People felt like, Oh, these are fun little palate cleansers after a gigantic Avengers movie,” Reed told the outlet. “For this third one, I said, ‘I don’t want to be the palate cleanser anymore. I want to be the big Avengers movie.'”
“I grew up a real Marvel comics nerd, and there are a handful of antagonists in the Marvel comics universe who are all-timers,” Reed continued. “Loki, obviously. Doctor Doom from the Fantastic Four. And Kang the Conqueror. In conversations with Kevin Feige and Marvel, it was like, I want to put Ant-Man and Wasp up against a really formidable villain in this movie, and so we’re doing Kang the Conqueror.”
“In the comics, Kang has dominion over time, he’s a time traveler. His situation is a little bit different in this movie, which I won’t spoil for you, but he’s someone who, we live very linear lives, from childhood to death, Kang doesn’t exist that way,” the director smirked. “It struck me as interesting to take the tiniest Avengers — in some people’s minds maybe the least powerful Avengers — and put them up against the most powerful force in the multiverse.”

How to Watch Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania?
For Marvel fans, the big news is you now see the film at your home by sitting on your couch. As for the OTT release on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar, Ant-Man, and the Wasp: Quantumania is promoted to be “Only on digital” i.e. you need to buy the movie on April 18th. In India, the movie has been available at midnight to make your weekend more exciting. For Blu-ray and 4K release, it has been pushed back to May 16, 2023.
