The wait is over MCU’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania comes at the door. In the new teaser, Ant-Man appears in a face-off with Kang the Conqueror. The Ant-Man franchise has come back to kick off Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe hit in the next year. The third adaptation comes with a core creative team with the director Kryton Reed coming to helm the trilogy capper.
This Ant-Man is Marvel Studios confirmed Phase 5 film that contains Kang as the villain. Jonathan Majors appears as He Who Remains in Loki Season 1 which has made him a fan-favorite villain. Marvel is planning for Kang who has officially confirmed the return in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars. There is also an indication about the retuning of Evangeline Lily as a Wasp and Kathryn Newton who takes the role of Cassie lang and becomes a superhero.
Now comes to the trailer, the new trailer briefly explains the story of the film where the Ant-man team will come back to the Quantum Realm and murder Kang the Conqueror. The Ant-man 3 trailer reveals Kang with his massive army and teased the eventual battle between Ant-Man and the multiverse–level threat. The footage also confirms Bill Murray’s role.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania: Expectations
Kang as a Dominating MCU Villain
The Ant man 3 trailer focuses on several parts of the sequel, but the entry of Jonathan Major’s Kang is really fantastic. The trailer has set up this Kang variant as someone who might be a bit more of a friend than an enemy. He has seemingly come to a deal with Ant-Man to retrieve him and save his entire family, but the deal with Kang has not yet been revealed. It has been teased that Ant-Man could help Kang as just another sign of how big of a threat he is for the MCU as the new trailer suggests and could be manipulated by Scott Lang into helping him.
The Ant-man and the Wasp: Quantomania is only just a part of Marvel’s Kang plans. The film will be critical for helping the MCU set up with the lead villain played by Jonathan. After a peaceful version of Kang in Loki that Ant-man 3 might unveil a variant that is a little more sinister. Previously, we have seen footage that has teased Kang’s history of killing the Avengers. It might allow the sequel to become the place where audiences start to realize exactly how terrifying of a threat Kang is got Ant-Man and the other Avengers.
Cassie Lang seeking help got the Quantum Signal
As the trailer begins, Scott Lang has mentioned there is more they can do to help others. After a flipping switch, Cassie says “they” built this signal to the Quantum Realm. Ant-Man is a smart gut, but for Cassie, this is the first time seeing the device. Janet Van Dyne already knows the dangers and desires to shut off. We are assuming hank Pym may be told Jan if he is doing it.
Janet Van Dyne’s Destiny
While she was in the Quantum Realm, something very bad happened in the Quantum Realm. This was too bad as she didn’t tell anyone about it even Hank Pym. Actually, this is something mysterious that has been kept for the film. However, Janel meets up with people from Quantum Realm. The big secrets may be done to serve enough for putting everyone she cares about in great danger.
About The Quantum Realm
Quantum Realm is definitely an Ant-Man film plan. Ant-man himself shrank down into it and was scared he might be lost everything. In the second film, he just learned that he could travel there and eventually helped save Janel Van Dyne.
Bill Murray In Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania
Kylar is featuring the role of Bill Murray in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. This is interesting since he is based on a Marvel Comics character who appeared only one time and then died in the comics. That was in an issue of The Incredible Hulk, and not one involving Ant-Man.
However, that opened up a legion of possibilities here. He is an open book and can be anything the filmmakers want him to be. He has a connection with Janet Van Dyne, but what did they share when she was trapped there, and what makes him a bad guy?
About The City Chronopolis
The fans of Kang in the comics, as well as people who played the video game Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2, know what Chronopolis is. This is Kang’s home in the future, a city he rules over and oversees every realm that he has ever conquered. It is a circular city powered by an energy source in an engine.
That elaborates that the city’s appearance in the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer, as well as what looked like an energy source. A chance that Bill Murray’s Krylar is a diplomatic leader in the city working under Kang, and this should be the introduction to the MCU’s next big bad and why he wants to take over Earth.
Cassie Will Become Stature In This Movie?
In the comics, Cassie Lang becomes a hero named Stature after her father’s death. She has the same powers as her dad thanks to hanging around Avengers Mansion. While she hasn’t had a chance to get his powers yet in the movies, she wears a costume in this trailer.
In the scene, Ant-Man, The Wasp, and Cassie are standing and facing what appears to be Kang approaching them. Cassie has a costume of her own. This looks like the movie where Cassie becomes either Stature or Stinger, which could mean bad things for Scott Lang.
What Kang Deals With Ant-Man To Steal?
Kang the Conqueror has proven since his first appearance in Loki that he is a master manipulator. Before Sylvie killed him, he told her there were countless more variants of him, and he was the least evil of them all. That does not bode well for Ant-Man when this Kang wants to make a deal.
The Ant-Man movies have always been heist films, and this one seems no different. Kang offers to help Ant-Man get back to his world if he steals something for him. What is it Kang wants, and will this lead to the giant Phase 5 battles with Kang and the Avengers?
What Is M.O.D.O.K.?
Some interesting-looking characters showed up to confront Ant-Man and his friends, but one remained absent in the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania trailer. That was M.O.D.O.K. He will appear in the movie as a villain alongside Kang, but where was he here?
It is likely smart to leave fans wanting more, and with Kang wanting something stolen for him, there is a chance Ant-Man has to steal it from M.O.D.O.K. The question remains, what is M.O.D.O.K. and what is his actual role in this movie?
Will Ant-Man Die In This Movie?
The answer will decide the future of the MCU that has been doing is bringing in the next generation of heroes. Iron Man died, and Riri Williams will debut in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Hawkeye seemed to pass his name down to Kate Bishop. There is a new Black Panther coming. Is it time for Cassie Lang to replace her dad in the MCU?
Cassie does have a costume, and likely has powers. However, there have been hints that a broken Ant-Man mask makes it appear that Scott could die. The trailer doesn’t make it look any better, as a bloody Scott could show that Ant-Man’s time might be nearing an end in the MCU.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania: Release Date
The new trailer confirms that MCUs most awaited film will hit on 17th February 2023.
