Canadian poet Anne Carson, 76, just won the 2026 Nobel Prize in Literature! Known for her “bold and inventive oeuvre,” Carson uniquely blends verse, prose, and classical traditions, making ancient Greece feel brand new.

The Swedish Academy honored her playful dialogue with classics and creation of new literary forms. She’s the 19th woman to win, a historic milestone for the celebrated classicist. Expect her boundary-pushing books to fly off shelves!
