Roma and RB Leipzig have reached an agreement for Angelino’s permanent transfer, in a deal worth €5.2 million in total. The left-back originally joined on a loan deal in January, after spending the initial half of the season with Galatasaray, who went on to win the Turkish Super Lig.
Now, after making 16 Serie A appearances for the Giallorossi, he will become a permanent member of the squad, earning €2 million per season as part of his new contract.

Since leaving Manchester City in 2020, the defender was a regular at RB Leipzig, before eventually joining Hoffenheim on loan for one season, and then moving to Galatasaray. The Spaniard played regularly in the second half of the season for Roma, and is now set for some stability in his career.
Roma will have several decisions to make this summer, especially with their strikers. Romelu Lukaku will return to Chelsea after his loan spell expires, and the club will have to assess the situation to see if they need more backup.
Moreover, it’ll be the first transfer window under new manager Daniele De Rossi, and it’ll be interesting to see how much they back him.
