Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has become the first in Premier League history to complete a hat-trick of Manager of the Month awards in his first season in the competition. The Australian has successfully imposed his philosophy of playing attractive, high intensity and free flowing attacking football onto the team. The players also have a newfound intensity and cohesion about them which was absent under previous managers.

In November, however, things have taken a sharp turn. Micky van de Ven and James Maddison are both injured following Spurs’ 4-1 defeat against Chelsea in the London derby, and it could affect their performance and style of play until the new year, especially against fellow top teams in the division.

But with Ange Postecoglou’s philosophy in place so deeply among all the players, Spurs might be able to surprise us all in spite of their injury list.
