For better or worse, Android 11 looks and feels very similar to Android 10. As such, you might not notice many differences when you first boot it up.

However, new features provided in the android 11 gives it major edge over all its previous release.

What’s new in Android 11?

Conversations
  • Conversation notifications are given a priority.
  • Google now keeps your conversations separate from your other notifications.
  • Conversations are given precedence over random pings from other apps and can also be set at a high priority.
Bubbles!
  • Conversation bubbles have finally been given a thumbs up by google.
  • The floating bubbles can be accessed from within any app.
  • Developers will still have to update their apps code to support this feature.
Built-in screen Recording, finally!
  • Screen recording has always been a hassle in android phone, we always needed to utilize third-party apps.
  • However, android 11 comes with an in-built screen recording feature which supports audio from mic and device or both.
Quick access to smart devices:
  • Google has released the feature to control all smart devices in its latest update.
  • In the power menu, we’ll see controls for all smart lights, locks, thermostats, and all smart devices in your house.
Much better media controls
  • Android 11 offers you to select your audio output from the notifications shade.
  • Google says you’ll be able to switch between apps in the order they were last played.

Pixel exclusive features

  • Live Location sharing will allow the user to share his/her live location and will allow the receiver to track your location turn-by-turn.
  • Google has also improved the screen-shot feature for its pixel devices with the Android 11 update.
  • App recommendations on the home screen has been improved as well as folder name recommendation is provided to help keep files organized.
