The first Beta version of the most awaited Android 11 is finally come out on this 10th June for the developers having Pixel 2 or later version handsets. If you are a regular Android user then you have to wait a bit more. In this new update, three things are in the focus and those are “people, controls, and privacy”. Here are the features spotted on the Android 11.
⭐ Conversation
The new Android 11 update is able to segregate conversation notifications and put all together is a separate section just under the quick settings at the notification screen. No matter which chatting app pushes the notification, either Facebook, WhatsApp, or something else, this will be applicable for all.
From that particular section, you will be able to perform some specific actions like converting that conversation to a floating bubble, creating a shortcut at your home screen, or set reminders. You also can prioritize the conversations as per your choice. Those notifications will be triggered even if you keep your phone in Do Not Disturb mode.
⭐ Bubbles
If you use Facebook Messenger, then you are very much aware of this feature. After the update, you will get the same Floating Bubble for each messaging apps. This will help you to enhance your multitasking ability.
⭐ Permission
Android 11 solves the Permission related headache a lot. At the place of the ‘Allow’ option, now, there is ‘Only this time’. If you choose this option, the permission will be expired while you come out from that. No doubt, the security will increase far more. The rest of the options are ‘While using the app’ and ‘Cancel’.
⭐ Voice Access
I like to play with the Google Assistant. If you do the same, then the experience will get smoother for both of us. The update brings an on-device virtual cortex that has the ability to understand what is on the screen so that it can generate labels and access points for accessibility commands.
⭐ Scheduled Dark Mode
This feature is very much handy is if you switch between the dark mode and normal mode on a day and night basis. The Android developers automated this for you. Depending upon your time zone, the mode will be switched based on day and night.
⭐ New Screen Support (For App Developers)
The screens of Android phones are changing. The best example is the foldable phones. There are also phones having punch-hole cameras. The app developers need to keep in mind all of these. To make their job easy, Google is adding tools to the Android 11 update so that the app developers can optimize their apps easily. The tools will help them to detect the hinges of the screens.
⭐ Power Button Functionality
Still now, if you long-press the power button of your Android phone, you will get only Power off and Restart options. But after getting the update, the Device Control menu will also appear taking the maximum of the screen. This menu contains options to control your smart home devices.
⭐ Screen Recorder
The Screen recording feature is here with Android 11 Beta. Now you need not to use any third-party apps for this. It will be very handy if you need to make understand some in phone settings to your grandparents or someone else while staying away. Just record the steps on your phone and send that to them.
⭐ Motion Gestures for Music
Managing the current playing track is now much easier. You need to just use proper motion gestures to play, pause, or skip your track, that’s all.
⭐ Do Not Disturb
While keeping your phone in the Do Not Disturb mode, you will get a far more customization option than before. You can give permission to particular apps to trigger you notification even during the Do Not Disturb Mode activated.
⭐ Icon Shapes
New icon shapes are detected named Vessel, TaperedRect, and Pebble. Though detailed information about this is yet to come.
⭐ App Suggestions
The apps you use the most will be at the bottom of your mobile screen from now. If you change the app usage habit, the suggestions will also change. You can on or off this feature from the Settings section.
