Lazio is interested to sign Andreas Pereira from Manchester United on a loan deal with an option to buy after a year. Lazio’s sporting director Igli Tare is negotiating with Manchester United in the final week of the transfer window.

Pereira joined Manchester United in 2011 for their youth academy. He has played for Manchester United Academy from 2011 to 2014. He made his senior debut in 2014, though he always struggled to make an impact in the first team

He was sent to Granada for a loan deal in 2016 and again to Valencia in 2017. He stayed at United from 2018. But he was used in a different position. Unfortunately, he failed to deliver as per his potential. In his 45 appearances for Manchester United, he has scored only 4 goals. He is now out of favour of United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as well. The Brazilian did not feature in the first two Premier League games this season. He was also left out of the squad against Luton Town in the Carabao Cup tie.

Manchester United have already signed the Dutch Midfielder Donny Van De Beek from Ajax. After the signing of Bruno Fernandes in January, he was out of the first team. Now after the signing of Donny Van De Beek he will surely get very little chance to play.

His move to Lazio can be good for his career as well. He will surely get some game-time with the Serie A side. Lazio has finished 4th in the last season and qualified for the UEFA Champions League this season. They have also started the season with a win against Cagliari by 2-0. He can be a great addition to the squad.
