Barcelona are still interested in signing Chelsea centre-back Andreas Christensen this summer. The player’s contract runs out at the end of the season, and he has received a proposal from the Spanish giants already. However, there is no agreement between the two parties as of yet.

The Blaugrana are also interested in signing Cesar Azpilicueta in the summer, who has a similar contract situation. The Chelsea captain has not yet agreed to a new deal with the club, and could be returning back to Spain at the end of the season.

Andreas Christensen still a target for Barcelona

Andreas Christensen won’t consider any proposal from Premier League clubs to respect Chelsea. Barcelona and FC Bayern are both interested in signing him since January – still in talks. 🔵👀 #CFC

The Denmark international came through the Chelsea academy, and is a regular starter under Thomas Tuchel. However, he has not accepted any proposals put forth by the club for a new deal just yet. The same situation applies to Antonio Rudiger, who is keen to find an agreement with Chelsea for a new deal.

Alongside Barcelona, Bayern Munich are also interested in signing the defender. He will not sign with any other Premier League clubs out of respect for Chelsea. But, a return to Germany could be on the cards since Bayern will need to replace Niklas Sule.

The Germany international will be joining Dortmund at the end of the season as a free agent. And, Bayern could have a replacement ready for no outright transfer fee. Andreas Christensen previously featured for Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga, on loan from Chelsea. So, he can be a very valuable addition for the Bavarians, with his experience in the league.
