Match 28 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 featured an interesting match as Kolkata Knight Riders took on the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
The match being in Sharjah was expected to be a high-scoring one. However, it happened the other way around for KKR as they suffered and were wrapped for only 112 runs. They had a terrible day overall as they lost by a massive margin of 82 runs. However, there was something to cherish as a personal milestone as Andre Russell reached the landmark of 300 T20 wickets.
Russell became the 10th cricketer to achieve this monumental feat. He became the third West Indian to achieve this feat. The list of top 10 wicket-takers in T20 cricket is as follows.

3) Sunil Narine – 390 wickets
4) Imran Tahir – 380 wickets
5) Sohail Tanvir – 362 wickets

10) Andre Russell – 300 wickets
There is no Indian bowler on the list. Probably due to the fact that BCCI does not allow Indian cricketers to participate in foreign T20 leagues like Big Bash, Caribbean Premier League, etc.
Andre Russell – The modern era T20 legend!
Russell made his T20 debut back in 2011. He has been an integral part of the West Indian cricket team ever since. He has played in 337 T20 matches. He was also a part of the West Indies squads who won the T20 World Cups of 2012 and 2016.
Along with KKR, he has played in world-renowned franchises like Jamaica Tallawahs, Melbourne Renegades, Sydney Thunders, Nottinghamshire, Khulna Royal Bengals, Islamabad United, etc. However, he has been silent in this IPL. He’ll have to pull his socks up for KKR to qualify for the playoffs and eventually win the IPL 2020.
