The development team behind Among Us, Innersloth, recently released The Fungle, a new playable map. Players of The Fungle must explore a brand-new jungle while attempting to evade the imposter’s bullets. Players need to have updated their game to version 2023.10.24 to play on the new map. They won’t be able to access it otherwise.
The Fungle is “made up of sandy beaches, mushroom jungles, and cliffs,” per a press statement. Similar to earlier maps in Among Us, the beach environment will have chambers and secluded areas, providing the imposter with numerous opportunities to murder crew members.
The most recent map from Among Us is a work of art that begs players to discover its enigmatic and secret Easter eggs. Unlike any other area in the game, the Fungle provides a distinctive environment for crew members and imposters to traverse. This adventure region full of mushrooms has a ton of exciting new features to look forward to. Put on the dropship seatbelts that Skeld has provided and get ready for a bumpy journey.
Patch notes of the new Among Us update:
- When you launch Free Chat, the chat box will be selected – no need to click and then type!
- Audio file modifications that should improve load times on lower-end devices.
- The Airship and The Fungle will take 5 seconds longer to load so that lower-end devices can obtain all necessary assets.
- Pets of deceased players will no longer be idle; instead, they will be heartbroken that you are no longer alive.
- During Comms Sabotage, Guardian Angels can no longer protect Crewmates.
- Impostor count no longer defaults to 3 when creating or discovering a game [Mobile]. – Hacking while venting as an Engineer will no longer result in a kick.
The crew spawns at a campfire with a few logs and ejected chairs from the dropship after the crash landing on The Fungle. A murky yellow sea surrounds the map. Explore the map to the left to find tasks dispersed across the beaches and the fishing pier.
The purple mushroom jungle is located at the bottom of the map and is packed with — you guessed it — mushrooms. Its eerie atmosphere and new mushroom cloud sabotage push the crewmates to complete their tasks and get out of there as soon as possible. The right side of the map has a variety of chambers, including the mining hole, the watchtower, and the greenhouse. Communications, the top engine, and the reactor are also recognized sites.
