AMD’s Threadripper 5000 CPU’s most likely to launch in August

According to fresh sources, AMD plans to launch its next generation of Threadripper 5000 processors in August. As we know, Threadripper is responsible for single-handedly removing the Intel monopoly by increasing the core count of CPUs available to consumers. However, if AMD’s new Threadripper 5000 series is priced similarly, then intel will have fresh new trouble on its hands and the company could lose big time.

Coming to the specifications of the AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper 5000 HEDT, the new Zen 3 core architecture will provide a 19% IPC uplift over the existing Zen 2 based Threadripper 3000 lineup. The Ryzen Threadripper 5000 CPUs will also retain 64 cores and 128 threads and will also offer higher clock speeds along with a slightly refined 7nm process node from TSMC to offer better overall efficiency.

The L3 cache will be doubled from 16MB per CCX to 32 MB per CCX and the next generation Ryzen Threadripper 5000 will also support the same TRX4 socket (SP3r3). As we have heard from the leaks the new CPU will most likely come in August, and the availability is stated to be in September.
