AMD’s Radeon RX 6000 series to sport up to 2.4GHz of clock speed

AMD has been making rounds on the internet with its announcement of the latest upcoming next-gen processors. The new processors will be based on the Zen 3 core architecture, which is currently the best wafer process.

In a week, AMD will reportedly announce its new upcoming Radeon RX 6000 series. Though we have to wait on the official confirmation of its specs, we have on our hands yet another leak that offers some insights on what the new entry from AMD might offer.

The details have been shared by @_rogame and @patrickshur and are regarding the clock speeds of the AMD’s ‘Big Navi’ graphics cards. We already know that AMD will release its Navi 21 GPU in four variants: the Navi 21 XL, XLE, XT, and XTX.

According to sources, the XT variant of the GPU will be its top-notch offering. With the XL and XLE variants being the entry-level Navi cards.

Reports indicate that the Navi 21 XL will reach the clock speed of 2.1 GHz while the Navi 21 XT will reach 2.4GHz.

Sources claim that the 2,4 GHz, as indicated by @patrickschur_ and @_rogame, will be the Navi 21 XT peak clock speed, which is surprisingly more than the RX 5700 Xt offers. The Navi 21 XT will also come with a 255 W TGP (total graphics power) and be paired with 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM.

The leakers even claim that the upcoming Navi 21 XT will be branded as the RX 6800 XT, while the Navi 21 will be the RX 6800. Presumably, the Navi 21 XLE will be dubbed as the RX 6900. The details provided are not much, but it is what we have for now. The AMD’s launch event is scheduled for October 28 and will reveal its new RX 6000 series.
