AMD’s RDNA3 GPUs to leave NVIDIA’s Hooper GPU’s in the dust

Even though the monstrous prices of graphic cards are decreasing slowly but surely, there is still bad news that has recently come out of the graphics market. According to fresh sources, owing to ongoing shortages and production overbooking at TSMC, AMD might not release any new APU or GPU later this year.

And sources also confirmed that the same thing applies to Nvidia since it still relies on Samsung’s fabs. However, Intel could be in a condition to deliver on its promise regarding competitive gaming GPUs, even if these are supposed to be produced at TSMC.

Reports for various industry analysts and insiders suggest that AMD and Nvidia may launch their next-gen GPU architectures after Q2 2022. Still, until then, the graphics market should get a bit more animated with the arrival of DG2 GPUs from Intel.

Moore’s Law is Dead (MLID) reported that Intel could replace AMD as the new underdog in the market by the end of next year, and Nvidia will lose the performance crown. In the case of Nvidia, it will be AMD’s RDNA3 architecture which is genetically superior to Nvidia’s next-gen Hopper GPUs.

According to AMD insiders, the RDNA3 GPUs will be twice as fast as the current RX 6800 XT models, thanks to a multi-chip design. And if that speculation is indeed true, then Nvidia could have quite a bit of trouble on their hands. And not to mention that the multi-chip design is also being used by Intel for the upcoming DG2.

Intel has sparked the fires of the upcoming price wars between Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA, due to its aggressive pricing of its DG2 GPUs. However, industry experts believe that AMD could easily match Intel’s offers by lowering MSRPs by at least half a segment.

However, all of this can only be achieved if the companies managed to make their supply line a better shape by the beginning of next year. Nvidia will also be forced to lower prices as well. let’s see how the graphics market will change after the arrival of intel’s DG2 GPUs.
