AMD stated earlier this year that their Radeon RX 6900 XT Liquid Cooled graphics card was primarily intended for system integrators and would not be offered to home system builders. Nonetheless, some of the cards are now accessible via MindFactory.de, a prominent German store.

At the time of writing, MindFactory.de has over five references Radeon RX 6900 XT Liquid Cooled provided by PowerColor in stock (thanks to VideoCardz for the tip), which is a small number but plenty for a device that was never intended to be sold at retail. The card costs €1749 ($1960 with VAT, $1650 without VAT), which is more costly than the price of an air-cooled Radeon RX 6900 XT (which costs €1500 €1700), but less expensive than the price of a bespoke liquid-cooled Radeon RX 6900 XT (which costs €1800 €2000).

This isn’t the first time such boards have appeared on the retail market; the product was previously seen for around $3000 with taxes in India, as well as in Brazil; however, it’s not uncommon for certain products to ‘leak’ in such large markets, as no one notices if a company sells a graphics board, or even a dozen of them, without permission.

However, a listing at a major European retailer suggests that the card arrived via authorized channels and is now ‘officially’ available. As a result, AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT Liquid Cooled graphics card may become available from various shops and in different markets.

The Radeon RX 6900 XT Liquid Cooled from AMD is based on the Navi 21 XTXH GPU, which has 5120 stream processors clocked at up to 2250 MHz (game clock) and is combined with 16GB of GDDR6 memory with a data transfer rate of 18 GT/s.

In terms of GPU frequency, AMD’s standard Radeon RX 6900 XT LC pales in comparison to Sapphire’s, PowerColor’s, ASRock’s, or Asus’ liquid-cooled Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics boards. However, AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT LC is the only GPU with fast GDDR6 memory, which is why some customers may prefer it over custom-designed liquid-cooled adapters.

At this time, it is unknown whether AMD wants to reverse its stance and offer the reference Radeon RX 6900 XT LC as a full retail product, although it appears that some of its partners do.
