AMD’s next-gen Zen 4 EPYC CPUs could pack up to 128 cores

According to fresh sources, a new rumor is making rounds on the Internet and it states that AMD’s next-gen Threadripper and EPYC CPUs could pack up to 128 cores based on the Zen 4 architecture. We already have heard the news that team red is indeed working on its EPYC Genoa lineup of server processors which will be offering up to 96 cores and 192 threads.

The Genoa lineup will be based on the Zen 4 cores and will most probably hit the market before the Milan-X which will be utilizing the X3D chipset packaging technology. Milan-X would be based on the Zen 3 architecture.
