According to recent reports, AMD is currently working on its fastest Big Navi 21 GPU-based graphics card which will be the Radeon RX 6900 XTX. The latest leak comes from a slide that has been leaked by CyberPunkCat, and it states that the card will feature faster memory and clock speeds.
As of now, AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT has two variations, one is a standard variant featuring the Navi 21 XT GPU and another one is a binned variant featuring the Navi 21 XTXH GPU. Both are however known as Radeon RX 6900 XT and according to sources, AMD could be working on a third variant combining the Navi 21 XTXH GPU with faster memory, allowing for faster performance in gaming that will surpass NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3090.
coming to the leaked information, the AMD Radeon RX 6900 XTX will feature a compute horsepower of 24.93 TFLOPs. This is higher than the existing Radeon RX 6900 XT that features a compute horsepower of 23.04 TFLOPs with a boost clock of 2250 MHz. On the other hand, with Navi 21 XTXH GPU on the Radeon RX 6900 XTX, it should feature a boost clock of 2435 MHz. This is an amazing 8% improvement in the boost clock for an 8% compute power increase.
There is also a second chance that is coming to the card in the form of memory. According to the rumors, AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT will be getting 18 Gbps memory dies delivering a nice boost in bandwidth over the existing 16 Gbps G6 chips.
The card will also retain its 16 GB GDDR6 memory capacity and with these updates, the bandwidth should be boosted to 576 GB/s which is a 12.5% improvement over the reference card. The existing Navi 21 XT-based reference model has a TDP of 300W so in the new and updated model, we can expect the TDP to be around 350W.
