AMD’s Scott Herkelman indicated that “major product announcements” will be made at Gamescom 2023. That event is coming up next week, and AMD’s press conference will begin at 11 a.m. ET on August 25. Because Gamescom is being held in Cologne, Germany, AMD’s announcements will be delivered at 5 p.m. local time.
AMD released the RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT graphics cards in December of last year.
The business later introduced the more cheap RX 7600 XT in May 2023, but the RX 7000 Series has been quiet since then. With the high and cheap ends of the spectrum adequately covered, and team red is likely to introduce GPUs in the middle of its RX 7000 Series at Gamescom.
PowerColor accidentally posted specs for the RX 7800 XT, but the page has already been removed. However, VideoCardz was able to obtain graphics card specifications before PowerColor removed them. According to what has been observed, the RX 7800 XT will include 3840 shaders, 16GB of memory, and a 256-bit memory bus. Because PowerColor’s post was about a premium model, some specifications may differ on other RX 7800 XT GPUs.
Leaks or official word about an RX 7700 XT have been more difficult to come by. There’s also a chance that the chipmaker will announce GPUs that differ from what has been speculated by the rumour mill and leaks. AMD could reveal both or simply one of the aforementioned graphics cards at Gamescom.
