AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO processors launched with up to 64 cores & 128 threads

Almost a year ago AMD launched their 3rd Gen Ryzen Threadripper CPUs based on Zen 2 architecture which totally shook the HEDT processor market. Already AMD has an advantage with 2nd Gen Threadripper CPUs with up to 32 cores but with 3rd Gen CPUs, they totally demolished even Intel’s very costly server CPUs coming at an affordable price point.

People loved the new HEDT processors from AMD but now the Red team is making their Ryzen Threadripper CPUs even more secure and delivering the same performance as before. Be it any professional task, with up to 64 cores and 128 threads, these CPUs are just monsters at work, the PRO lineup is meant for businesses, work, entertainment and lot more.

Having huge amount of cores is always a benefit for professional work like rendering, 3D modelling, design & manufacturing, architecture & construction, software & sciences and research purposes, the list goes on. Coming at a lower price than Intel and now having the PRO benefit, these AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO processors will be helpful to a lot of clients out there.

It retains most of the benefits of the original 3rd Gen Ryzen Threadripper processors like support for 128 PCIe lanes, 8 Memory Channels, PCIe gen 4.0 support for delivering twice the I/O performance over PCIe 3.0. It becomes the world’s only processor family with full memory encryption as a standard feature while AMD Memory Guard delivers real-time encryption of system memory to help defend against physical attacks.

You can see the performance difference of these AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO processors against Intel solutions:
