The AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 “Strix Halo” APU has leaked once again on Geekbench with a strong multicore performance. Recently, the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 was spotted with one of the upcoming AMD Strix Halo APUs, and the device benchmarks again in Geekbench. GZ302EA also has AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 CPU which is among the fastest in its range, only behind Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 395.
This APU with 16 cores and 32 threads and the Radeon 8060S integrated graphics based on RDNA 3.5 architecture performed well in testing. It scored 2928 in single-core tests and 19484 in multicore tests. While these results are commendable, it’s worth pointing out that the APU was being run at a frequency of 3.0 GHz with a boost up to 5.1 GHz.

AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 ‘Strix Halo’ APU Surpasses Expectations in Geekbench Benchmark Scores
The AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 “Strix Halo” APU can achieve up to 5.1 GHz according to prior leaks, while the Pro edition can go even higher. With the scores compared to the previous version, the single-core score is only slightly higher, while the multicore score is a touch lower.
Such variations are not unusual with Geekbench results. According to AMD, the Strix Halo APUs are based on the Zen 5 architecture, which has been restructured compared to Strix Point, both in specifications and integrated GPU capabilities. While Strix Point’s flagship APU, the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370/375, tops out at 12 cores and 24 threads, the Strix Halo models can support up to 16 cores and 32 threads. Perhaps the most notable upgrade is the Radeon 8060S iGPU, which boasts 40 Compute Units, unlike the paltry 12 units found in Strix Point.
This makes the gaming performance on par with chips like the RX 7600. When paired with an integrated Radeon 8060S iGPU, the CPU and Ryzen AI Max+ 395 represent an impressive combo for budget gaming laptops, allowing for decent gaming performance and much faster computing without needing to use discrete GPUs. However, we haven’t seen any gaming benchmarks for the Radeon 8060S yet.
