Allegedly, these new CPUs will be able to bring noticeable performance improvements in multi-threading workloads thanks to the promises of increased IPC.

While the leaker is a bit vague in terms of this information, it’s clear that AMD Ryzen 9000 “Granite Ridge” CPUs will launch at four configuration tiers out of the gate: 16-core, 12-core, 8-core, and 6-core. If AMD sticks with its numbering scheme similar to the Ryzen 7000 parts we might see prospective SKUs like Ryzen 9 9950X, Ryzen 9 9900X, Ryzen 7 9700X, and Ryzen 5 9600X.
