The first sales figures for AMD’s Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs are in, and it appears that the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D is doing well, while the 7950X3D is still unavailable. We can see the sales figures of the AMD Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs at Mindfactory in numbers compiled by TechEpiphany.
The figures represent the launch day figures, and it appears that AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D CPUs were quite popular. The retailer sold 360 units, which may be considered lower than the Ryzen 7 5800X3D and Ryzen 7 5800X, but the chip sold much better than its non-3D brother, the Ryzen 9 7900X, which only sold 230 units during its launch week.
This demonstrates that the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D CPU sold more than 50% better than the 7900X and that sales are currently 3.6x higher than the 7900X despite the former being $449 US versus the $599 US cost of the 3D V-Cache part.
The AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D was not included in the list, but it is stated that the flagship has far less stock than the AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D, which is widely available.
The AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D appears to offer balanced application and gaming performance at a price point comparable to the Intel Core i9-13900K. However, the true game changer in the 3D V-Cache lineup has yet to be released. Most gamers are anticipating the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, as evidenced by our own poll, which shows that more than half of our readers are likely to purchase it. The Ryzen 9 7950X3D was ranked second in our poll before the reviews came in, and it appears that most readers changed their minds and chose the 7900X3D.
