AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U spotted both on CPU-Z & Geekbench

Yesterday, HP announced that it would partner with AMD to bring these new processors on their popular business laptops, and then we get the HP EliteBook 835 G8 laptop powered by AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U on Geekbench.

The Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U, with all its 8 Zen 3 cores, managed to score 6167 points in Geekbench multi-core tests while scoring 1314 points in single-core. This score is pretty good for an APU for a thin and light business notebook but cannot be deemed best because of the new M1 chip but much better than Intel’s offerings.

Whereas @TUM_APISAK did spot the Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U on CPU-Z, and there too, the new processor sported a handsome 585 points in single-thread and 4416 points in multi-thread.

For a thin and light business Windows notebook, this type of score is indeed a great one, and on top of that, AMD has instilled a lot of security features to make these processors business-ready. Get to know more about them here.
