AMD released their Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU in April, and the chip is already shattering sales records at Mindfactory in Germany. The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 3D V-Cache CPU was released at the same price as the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, $449 US.
Since its release, the CPU has broken sales records, and gamers are snapping up the chip like hotcakes. The reason for this popularity is that the processor provides excellent gaming performance at an affordable price.
In comparison, the Intel Core i9-13900K is a $550 US+ CPU, and the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D offers even higher performance for $100 US less.
The chip is so popular that it has begun to eat into the sales of the 7950X3D and 7900X3D. As a result, some vendors reduced the pricing of larger core count 3D V-Cache parts. Meanwhile, despite its popularity, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D has not seen a price decrease.
According to TechEpiphany data from many weeks ago, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D sold 4,720 units at German vendor MindFactory. In comparison, the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, despite some incredible discounts, only sold 2510 units. That’s about a 2x improvement over the 7800X3D’s predecessor.
The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is presently on the top 10 CPU & Best Sellers list at some of the major US stores. The CPU is ranked fifth at Newegg, and ninth at Amazon, where it is still trailing its predecessor, which is ranked fourth and the 7800X3D is ranked ninth.
