AMD Ryzen 5000H making its way to high-end ASUS and ACER gaming laptops

AMD’s Zen3 based Ryzen 5000H CPUs are the new buzz in the market. coming with the power of AMD’s new architecture, the Ryzen 5000H is set to put the laptop world on fire.

Recent news states that the OEMs, ASUS and ACER will soon unveil their most high-end gaming laptops based on AMD’s Ryzen 5000H ‘Zen 3’ CPUs and NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs. The device will also feature the flagship RTX 3080 mobility GPU. We expect that the new gaming laptops to belong to ASUS’s ROG line-up and Acer’s Nitro series.

According to sources, ASUS ROG STRIX 2021 lineup will feature AMD CPUs as high up as the Ryzen 9 5900HX. Even though the benchmark results of the Ryzen 9 5900HX are already extremely high, after its release in the gaming laptop we expect the performance to be even more amazing.

The Ryzen 9 5900HX will offer up to 8 cores and 16 threads. The chip will feature 16 MB of L3 cache and 4 MB of L2 cache. The base clock is at 3.30 GHz & the boost clock is rated at 4.70 GHz. Speaking of graphics, the high-performing ASUS gaming laptop will have Nvidia’s flagship GPU, that is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080. It is based on GA104 GPU and features up to 16 GB of GDDR6 memory. Sources suggest that ASUS will provide up to 32 GB of DDR4 memory and 1 TB of storage (SSD).

Acer’s upcoming gaming laptop will include the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H CPU along with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 discrete graphics card that will come in 8GB capacity. The OEM is also selling it with up to 32 GB DDR4 memory, and 1 TB of SSD storage.
