Finally, you can now buy your next gaming APU in the middle of this GPU crisis and equipped with the latest Zen 3 cores and Vega graphics, these APUs are both strong and capable of out-of-the-box gaming. AMD announced these Ryzen 5000G desktop APUs for DIY system builders, after skipping for 2 generations.

So, finally, gamers can use these APUs to game on their system even if they lack a discrete GPU and now you can buy one for yourself easily. The AMD Ryzen 5 5600G comes with 6 cores and 12 threads, and the flagship Ryzen 7 5700G with 8cores and 16 threads.

Harnessing the power of “Zen 3” architecture, 7nm process, and Radeon Graphics, the Ryzen 5000 G-Series offers incredible generational improvements, driving over 100 FPS in gaming and high-speed content creation. With even more benefits for users, the Ryzen 5000 G-Series can take full advantage of features like AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution, Radeon Boost, AMD Smart Access Memory and more.

All of these models get a TDP of 65W, so your next APU will be an efficient powerhouse that can deliver the best gaming experience with Zen 3 architecture and GCN (Vega) architecture. So, the Ryzen 5 5600G with 6 Zen 3 cores sports 3.9 base and 4.4 GHz boost clock speeds, 19 MB total cache, Vega 7 iGPU with 1.9 GHz clock speed.

AMD Ryzen 5 5600G review: A fresh breather in the GPU crisis

Whereas the Ryzen 7 5700G enjoys 8 Zen 3 cores, sporting 3.8 base and 4.6 GHz boost clock speeds, 20 MB total cache, Vega 8 iGPU with 2.0 GHz clock speed. Coming to the Indian pricing of these APUs, here are the declared price by AMD:

  • AMD Ryzen™ 5 5600G – INR 22,990 + GST = ₹35,399

Well, having got the Ryzen 5 5600G for review, what we can say is it’s a good business move by AMD for helping gamers in the GPU crisis and making some money. It could have been a little cheap, especially the 5600G, but if there are good stocks then surely it will help a lot of gamers dying to get a GPU.

Even as we said in our review, as you have the powerful Zen 3 cores which are also very efficient and drawing only 65W TDP, you can use them with iGPU for now and later pair a discrete GPU if you need when the situation eases up a little.
