The next AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D 3D V-Cache CPU, which will aspire to be the greatest gaming processor for the AM4 platform, has been revealed. The leak comes from chi11eddog, who revealed the likely specs of a brand new AM4 CPU, the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D.

The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D is a new CPU in the Zen 3 family that will be compatible with the AM4 socket. AMD now only provides a single 3D V-Cache CPU for the AM4 socket, but the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D will change that.

The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D features the OPN “100-000001176” and will include the 7nm Zen 3 core architecture.

The CPU will have six cores and twelve threads. The chip will have 3 MB of L2 cache and 96 MB of L3 cache. On the single CCD, there will be 32 MB of L3 and 64 MB of SRAM stack that will be purely optimised for gaming workloads.

When it launches, the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D will be the first 6-core 3D V-Cache CPU, paving the way for a future Ryzen 5 7600X3D CPU for the AM5 platform. On the AM5 front, the red team also plans to deliver new Ryzen APUs to cover the budget and mainstream segments, though little is known about them at the moment.

The chip’s clock speeds will be 3.3 GHz for the base clock and 4.4 GHz for the boost clock. These are slightly slower than the normal Ryzen 5 5600X, which has a base frequency of 3.7 GHz and a boost rate of 4.6 GHz. The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X3D, like the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, will have a baseline TDP of 105W and no overclocking support due to its weak cache, which isn’t fond of higher voltages.
