According to the newest rumour from @Kepler_L2, AMD RDNA 4 “Navi 4X” GPUs will not include any high-end GPU options. This rumour should be taken with a grain of salt, although @Kepler_L2 has previously covered legitimate GPU information. According to the report, AMD’s next Navi 4X GPU range, which will use the RDNA 4 graphics architecture, would not include any SKUs for the high-end category.

The portfolio is believed to be similar to the first generation RDNA GPUs, which had a top Navi 10 SKU but no truly high-end SKU geared at the enthusiast or ultra-enthusiast segment like the Navi 21 and Navi 31 chips. Those expecting AMD’s RDNA 3.5 GPUs to replace high-end Radeon graphics cards would be disappointed, since that SKU is primarily intended for iGPUs for Ryzen 8000 CPUs and APUs.

Given AMD’s reliance on MCM technologies, it is conceivable that instead of producing a big monolithic die, the chip maker might simply fuse two mid-tier dies together, saving money and allowing for improved yields and an efficient design.

## AMD already provides an MCM solution for its MCDs, so porting it to GCDs would be the logical next step. However, for the time being, this is only a rumour.

Officially, AMD has announced that RDNA 4 GPUs will evolve with even higher performance than current offers. So the lack of a high-end Navi 4X GPU does not rule out the possibility of faster graphics cards from the Radeon team in the future. The next-generation AMD Radeon GPU range will be based on the RDNA 4 architecture and will use a new and powerful process node.
