The AMD Radeon RX 6800 has appeared in the latest benchmark. The card is based on the Navi 21 GPU and was tested on an X570 platform which comprised of the MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE motherboard. Along with that, the testing system had an AMD Ryzen 9 3900X CPU.
AMD Radeon RX 6800 (Non-XT) GPU managed to scored 14,635 points in DX12 API. The GPU also scored 13,846 points in Vulkan API. Benchmark results dictate that the GPU is around 7-8% faster than the GeForce RTX 3070. Plus the results also suggest that it is about 4% faster than the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti (DirectX 12). It seems that the new GPU from AMD will prove to be a formidable competitor for Nvidia
AMD Radeon RX 6800 runs at an average clock speed of 2.5 GHz when overclocked. According to sources, the card has around 208W power consumption and a peak power draw of 269W that is slightly over its 250W TBP. The GPU reported a temperature of 60C and reached a max of 63C. The CapFrameX capture analysis tool was used to measure which only runs for 60 seconds.
It will also feature a VRAM config of 16 GB GDDR6 memory along with the 256-bit bus interface with 16 Gbps of memory speed. It will also deliver a net bandwidth of 512GB/s.
The AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics cards will be available starting the 8th of December, and they will carry a price tag of $999 US. The RX 6800 XT and RX 6800, on the other hand, will be launched on 18th November for $649 US and $579 US, respectively.
All the leaks at rumours place AMD’s big Navi line-up leagues ahead of Nvidia. But as to whether the GPU’s will really be able to dethrone the graphics leader remains to be seen. The upcoming month will surely bring about huge surprises to the world of PC gaming.
