AMD launched its first Navi 2x GPU based mobile graphics series at the Computex 2021, and they are really cool as they go head-to-head in terms of performance with NVIDIA RTX GPUs. Even the Ryzen + Radeon combo laptops are being sold at attractive prices in the US; however, the global availability of these laptops are poor.
In the meantime, our known tipster @_rogame has come up with some benchmark comparisons with the new Radeon RX 6700M that was spotted on an MSI system as regular RX 6700 XT. The 3DMark TimeSpy and Fire Strike scores are quite good for a laptop GPU and here for the comparison we have a host of laptop GPUs taken for reference.
As we see, all of these Ryzen powered systems perform very well, and we have the new mobile flagship GPU, the Radeon RX 6800M taking the crown. However, the RX 6700M GPU scores 8721 points in Time Spy whereas scoring 23413 points in the Fire Strike benchmark when paired with a Ryzen 9 5900HX.
The benchmark comparisons keeping the RX 6700M as the base for comparison are faster than the RTX 3070 mobile GPU at 140W; however, the RX 6800M is over 20% faster in Fire Strike. In Time Spy, though, the RX 6700M is even slower than the RTX 3060 mobile GPU, which seems strange; however, we have to wait for real-life gaming benchmarks before making any judgements.
