AMD Radeon RX 6600 series GPUs could launch on August 11th

AMD was suspected of launching the budget Radeon RX 6600 series GPUs sooner, but thanks to chip shortages and other issues, all the leaks and rumours now point to an August launch. According to Fudzilla, their sources claim that AMD will drop two of their Navi 23 desktop GPU for budget gamers on August 11th.

Previously we had a leak that AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT could launch in August at $399, and this leak from Fudzilla goes on to prove this rumour to some extent.

Apart from sporting the Navi 23 GPU, the Radeon RX 6600 XT will feature 8GB GDDR6 memory while the specs of the non-XT variant are not yet confirmed, but it would probably sport either 4GB or 8GB of GDDR6 memory.

AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT with single-fan design spotted

The AMD Navi 23 GPU sports up to 2048 Stream Processors and offers a 128-bit memory bus, the same used on Tesla’s new infotainment system for updated Model S. On the other hand, the non-XT version should end up with 1792 Stream Processors.

Interestingly, Fudzilla states that there could be plenty of custom versions from day one, and the stock situation of the Radeon RX 6600 series GPUs could be better than before. Although their source has no word on the actual MSRP of the Radeon RX 6600 series, however, as per rumours, both cards should cost less than 400 USD.

While the single-fan reference model pictured could be used only for marketing purposes or sent to reviewers, AMD is allegedly going to launch this card exclusively via its board partners from day one. More rumours can be expected before the August launch.
