New AMD Navi GPUs are on the verge of its announcement this week, the much speculated Radeon RX 5500 XT has got some pretty solid leaks.
Videocardz somehow managed to get the custom variants of this GPU by various AMD’s board partners including the likes of Gigabyte and AsRock. The images of the retail GPUs that have leaked include ASRock Challenger RX 5500 XT, Gigabyte RX 5500 XT Gaming OC, Gigabyte RX 5500 XT OC, MSI GAMING RX 5500 XT and MSI MECH RX 5500 XT.
AMD has positioned it’s OEM exclusive Radeon RX 5500 against the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, and it gives performance lead of up to 50% in multiple titles. The RX 5500 XT does not have a huge difference with it brother, coming with the same amount of stream processors but with higher clock speeds.
The Red team is trying to compete against the likes of GTX 1660 with this new GPU and provide smooth 1080p gaming experience even at ultra settings. Here are the complete specs of the upcoming GPU:
- 1408 stream processors
- 22 Compute Units
- 88 TMUs and 32 ROPs
- 1670 MHz base, 1717 MHz game, and 1845 MHz boost clocks
- 5.19 TFLOPs of computing performance
- 110W TDP
- 4 GB/ 8 GB of GDDR6 memory
- 128-bit bus interface and a cumulative bandwidth of 224 GB/s.
The AMD Radeon RX 5500XT is supposed to carry on the performance once provided by the RX 580. Here are custom leaked variants of this GPU:
ASRock Radeon RX 5500 XT Challenger D 8G OC
ASRock as been a loyal partner to AMD, providing us with great GPUs and so there’s no exception with the RX 5500 XT. It features a dual-fan, dual-slot slot design along with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM, a black shroud with yellow trim, and a silver backplate.
It will come factory overclocked with 1737 MHz clock speed, utilizes 3x DisplayPort connectors and 1x HDMI connector for display output. ASRock will also be offering a 4GB variant of the 5500 XT Challenger D GPU.
GIGABYTE Radeon RX 5500 XT GAMING OC
GIGABYTE is preparing a triple-fan 5500 XT variant to be known as the RX 5500 XT GAMING OC featuring GIGABYTE’s WindForce 3X cooler.
The 5500 XT GAMING OC GPU is a factory overclocked GPU with the same overclocked frequency of 1737 MHz and will be available in both 8GB and 4GB GDDR6 memory variants. The GPU will feature 3x DisplayPort connectors and 1x HDMI connectors for display output.
GIGABYTE Radeon RX 5500 XT OC
Another GPU from GIGABYTE that will be normal GPU without RGB, featuring a dual-fan cooler, a black and silver shroud design. Like the RX 5500 XT GAMING OC, it carries 3x DisplayPort connectors and 1x HDMI connector and will be available in either 4GB or 8GB GDDR6 memory variants.
MSI MECH and GAMING Radeon RX 5500 XT GPUs
This GPU series by MSI will also be similar to the other ones with 1408 Stream Processors and will be available in both 4GB or 8GB GDDR6 memory variants. The reference boost clock for MSI’s Radeon RX 5500 XT series is 1845 MHz, the GAMING series will boost up to 1905 MHz, with memory clock speed at 14 Gbps.
The AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT is all set to be launched on 12th December.
