AMD EPYC Milan CPUs to be coming in Q1 2021

AMD already impressed us a year ago with their strong EPYC Rome first 7nm based server CPUs and it continues to be adopted by a number of clients who look to get a better price to performance ratio. They also recently confirmed their EPYC Milan based Zen 3 CPUs would come in Q1 2021 and we have some solid leaks of it as well.

Thanks to Twitter user ExecutableFix for the leaks of these upcoming server-centric CPUs:

64 cores

AMD EPYC 7763:
– 64 cores, 2.45GHz base, 3.5GHz boost, 280W TDP

AMD EPYC 7713:
– 64 cores, 2.0GHz base, 3.7GHz boost, 225W TDP

Just a little addition to the 7763 leak 😉

Two 64 core, 128 threaded CPUs maybe coming in 2021 – one should be the EPYC 7763 while the other could be EPYC 7713. The better CPU has 256 MB of L3 cache, along with 32 MB of L2 cache for a combined 288 MB cache and 280W of TDP.

Obviously, the major change in Zen 3 architecture is the major redesign in the cache structure leading to impressive single-core performance. The flagship CPU offers a 2.45 GHz base and 3.5 GHz boost clock speeds.

Whereas the AMD EPYC 7713 is said to feature a base clock of 2.00 GHz and a boost clock speed of 3.70 GHz. It might sound strange but the CPU has 225W TDP which indicates that the thermal power draw of these EPYC chips is mostly dependent on the base clock speeds.

32 Cores

EPYC 75F3, 32 cores, 2.95GHz base, 4.0GHz boost, 256MB L3 and 280W TDP. Unit.

Heard of a 74F3 too, but no specs as of now. Should be 24 cores? https://t.co/oWxWWtGV2e

The AMD EPYC 75F3 processor has been confirmed with 32 cores and 64 threads with a 2.95 GHz base and a boost clock speed of 4.0 GHz. These clock speeds are the highest to date on an EPYC platform, and it features 256 MB L3 cache and a TDP of 280W.

Heya, that 7543 has 32 cores, a 2.8GHz base, a 3.7GHz boost and a 225W TDPhttps://t.co/qIJLTmFp8F

Also the AMD EPYC 7543 will feature 32 cores along with a decent 2.8GHz base clock speed and 3.7GHz boost along with a 225W TDP.

24 Cores and lower

You know what, here you go 😉

EPYC 7413, 24 cores, 2.65GHz base, 3.6GHz boost, 128MB L3, 180W TDP

EPYC 7313(P), 16 cores, 3GHz base, 3.7GHz boost, 128MB L3, 155W TDP

+ I've heard of a 74F3, a 72F3, a 7443 and a 7663 https://t.co/nalsn5xECX

There will need server CPUs with 24 cores and lower options, including the 24 cores and 48 threads for the EPYC 7413 processor. It will come with 128 MB of L3 cache and 16 MB L2 cache; it will feature a 2.65 GHz base and a 3.60 GHz boost clock speed. The CPU will have a decent TDP of 180W.

Whereas the second confirmed chip AMD EPYC 7313, features 16 cores and 32 threads. It will carry 128 MB of L3 cache and a base clock of 3.00 GHz, and a boost clock of 3.70 GHz, along with a TDP of 155W.
