Amazon Delivers the Largest Selection of Products to Amazon Prime Members in India, More Than Ever Before, Same Day or Faster
Since pioneering next-day delivery in India back in 2014 and launching same-day delivery in 2017 for Prime members, Amazon India has continuously expanded its selection and improved delivery speeds. Today, Prime members enjoy free, unlimited same-day delivery on over 10 lakh items and next-day delivery on more than 40 lakh items on Amazon.in.
Globally, Amazon achieved record delivery speeds in 2023, delivering over 5 billion items the same or next day. In India, nearly 50% of all Prime member orders in 2024, ranging from eyeliners and baby products to garden tools, watches, and phones, have arrived on the same day or the next day.
Prime membership has evolved to offer savings, convenience, and entertainment, all in a single package. Members benefit from special deals during events like Prime Day and Amazon Great Indian Festival, award-winning entertainment with Prime Video, ad-free music with Amazon Music, free games with Prime Gaming, and a vast selection of books and magazines with Prime Reading. Amazon India’s focus on fast delivery speeds has led to an expansion of the same-day delivery network, doubling the number of Prime members receiving same-day deliveries compared to 2023. With fulfillment centers in 15 states, sortation centers in 19 states, over 1,950 delivery stations, and 28,000 third-party delivery partners, Amazon India ensures delivery to 100% of serviceable pin codes.
Utilizing AI and machine learning, Amazon India has optimized its structure and product placement, ensuring faster delivery without compromising employee safety. This technology helps expand product selections and recommends strategic product placements closer to customers for consistent reordering.
