Since it debuted earlier this year for Rs 999, Amazon has reduced the cost of its annual, cost-effective Amazon Prime Lite membership plan by about Rs 200. The somewhat reduced edition, which costs Rs 799, comes with free delivery on Amazon orders.
Amazon Prime Lite membership price cut details
The Prime Lite plan, which was first available for Rs 999, has now dropped in price by Rs 200 to a more competitive Rs 799. With this change, Amazon’s selection of Prime memberships now includes the Lite plan as a more affordable option.
Plan | New Price |
Monthly Prime | Rs 299 |
Quarterly Prime (3 Months) | Rs 599 |
Annual Prime | Rs 1499 |
Annual Prime Lite | Rs 799 |
These changes go beyond merely changing the prices; Amazon has also improved the features that come with the Prime Lite membership. Prior to this, the main benefit of the package was free two-day delivery. The updated plan, on the other hand, now offers more delivery options, such as scheduled, same-day, two-day, and one-day delivery.
Amazon Prime Lite membership benefits
Customers with an Amazon Prime Lite membership can also stream an infinite amount of videos, TV series, and films from India and other countries. Users will have to tolerate commercials while streaming Prime Video, and there is a restriction on the amount of streaming devices—only two devices in HD resolution are permitted.
Prime Video is available to users of Amazon Prime Lite exclusively on mobile devices at 720p (HD) quality. Sports and TV shows are also available, albeit with commercials. Every perk listed above and more is included with a standard Amazon Prime membership. These include the ability to watch Prime Video without advertisements and morning delivery for just Rs 50.
Nonetheless, Prime Lite subscribers are not granted access to Prime Reading, Prime Music, or Prime Gaming, and they must pay ₹175 for morning delivery, instead of the ₹50 that ordinary Amazon Prime subscribers pay.
