Amazon India Launches Free Self-Serve Product Customization Feature

Amazon India has launched a new free self-serve product customization feature called “Customize Your Product.” The feature is available on a wide selection of more than 10,000 products from 76 different categories, including window blinds, blankets, home decor, wall art, signage, furniture, engraved pen, necklace, water bottle, mugs, apparel, jewellery organizer, golf clubs, phone covers, notebooks, and more.

Amazon Introduces personalized products with the launch of the “Customize” feature

The customization feature offers an intuitive experience that allows customers to personalize products using visual design tools and an interactive product preview option. Customers can choose from a variety of font styles and colors to add or engrave text, as well as upload images and notes. They can also choose from other customization options that sellers provide.

The customization feature caters to the evolving personalization needs of customers and taps into India’s fragmented and under-served personalized gifting products market. By providing an opportunity to innovate, the platform boosts customer engagement and converts a limited product selection to an unlimited one.

Manish Tiwary, Vice President and Country Manager, Consumer Business, Amazon India, said, “As a customer-obsessed marketplace, our endeavor has been to enrich the customer shopping experience through incorporating various innovations. For customers looking to create memorable products (gifts) or tailor a product to fit their needs, our sellers now offer a customization feature within Amazon on more than 10 thousand products. Fueled by the hyper trend of personalized products, we at Amazon India strive to widen the product selection soon.”

Customers can identify custom products using the “Personalize it” badge on search results and the “customize now” button on product pages.
