Amazon Style, the business’s brick-and-mortar clothing store, has opened at The Americana at Brand mall in Los Angeles, California, the company said today, accompanied by a video featuring some of its employees.

Along with Whole Foods and its cashier-less Amazon Go and Amazon Fresh grocery stores, it’s a new addition to Amazon’s physical sites. Amazon Style will carry Levi’s, Tommy Hilfiger, Champion, and other labels, and while it will not have Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology, it will have regular workers on hand to assist you from beginning to end.

In September, rumors about Amazon’s “department store” plan appeared, with a Wall Street Journal report claiming that the company will use technology to focus on consumer convenience with locations in California and Ohio.

Amazon confirmed the Amazon Style brand and announced the site of its “first-ever physical garment store” in January, with a focus on making trying on clothes as easy as possible.

Amazon Style is outfitted with technology that improves the shopping experience and eliminates unnecessary steps

Customers can scan a QR code on each article of clothing within the store to create a list of goods they want to try on in a fitting room or send straight to pick up for purchase, avoiding the need to carry some stuff.

Another advantage is that customers may order clothes on Amazon.com, have them delivered to the store, try them on, and return them there if they don’t like them.

Employees will gather the clothes for the fitting room and notify you when your clothes are ready to try on if you visit the store. Customers can also use a touchscreen monitor in each fitting room to request more products to try on and/or rate their favourites as they go. Customers can pay with their Amazon account at the checkout.
