Earlier this week, several reports stated that the company would be firing personnel from both the human resources and devices divisions. Amazon hasn’t made the size of the initial round of layoffs known to the public.
Amazon Announces Layoffs

He asserted that some job roles will no longer be necessary as a result of the decision to merge teams.
They still live in an odd and unpredictable macroeconomic situation, according to Dave Limp. They have been working over the past few months to further prioritize what is most important to the customers and the company in light of this.
They recently chose to merge some teams and programs after conducting a thorough set of reviews. The elimination of some roles as a result of these choices is one of the effects.
Jobs Were Cut from Devices & Service
He declared that the positions at Devices & Service would be eliminated. He continued by saying that it hurts him to have to break the news because they are aware that the Devices & Services organization will lose brilliant Amazonians as a result.
He is immensely proud of the team they have developed, and none of them ever want to see even one important team member depart.
Amazon says it will continue to collaborate closely with each affected employee to give support, including aiding in the search for other employment, and it has notified the affected employees.
When employees are unable to find a new position within the organization, Amazon will assist with the transition by providing a package that consists of a separation payment, transitional benefits, and assistance with finding a job outside the company.
