Amad Diallo has completed his loan move to Rangers until the end of the season. The move has been made official, and will be wearing the number 9 with Rangers for his loan spell.
The youngster is currently in Scotland to undergo his medical for the transfer, and the transfer has been confirmed by the Scottish club as well. He was signed by Manchester United for €23 million plus a number of add-ons by the club in January 2021.
Amad Diallo completes switch to Scotland for the remainder of the season
Since signing for Manchester United, Amad Diallo has made 9 appearances in the Premier League for the club and has scored one goal. However, with a plethora of attacking options lined up for the club, it was difficult for him to earn minutes ahead of them.
At Rangers, he is expected to earn valuable minutes on the pitch, as part of the first team, which will help his development. He is expected to be a part of Manchester United’s future, and the loan spell will help him prepare for the upcoming years.
The Red Devils are also working on other outgoings such as Donny van de Beek to Crystal Palace, and a potential deal for Jesse Lingard, who is in his final six months of contract at Old Trafford. They have also sanctioned the departure of Anthony Martial to Sevilla in the last few days. However, there are no talks of arrivals in the squad despite the need for a new defensive midfielder in the team.
