Personal terms are not expected to be an issue between Alphonso Davies and Real Madrid for a possible transfer this summer. The Canadian will only have one year left on his deal with Bayern Munich at the end of the season, and after being unable to renew his deal, he could move on to Los Blancos if Madrid are able to meet the Bundesliga team’s valuation.Â
At present, Bayern are not willing to consider a sale for a transfer fee below €40-50 million for the defender. They are expected to be rigid on the asking price even though the player has one year left on his contract.

The left-back has quickly grown into a top player after his arrival from Canada. He was initially recruited to play as a winger, but was moved into left-back as David Alaba shifted into centre-back. And now, he is the first-choice for the club when he is fit.
However, his health has put him on the sidelines for a significant amount of time too. More specifically, he faced a heart issue that kept him out for several months. He eventually went on to make history for the Canada national team, scoring their first-ever World Cup goal in the 2022 edition of the tournament.Â
Real Madrid already have Fran Garcia and Benjamin Mendy in the left-back spot right now. Mendy is likely to be moved on this summer, after years of being linked with a transfer away. And in that case, Davies and Garcia could form a deadly pair, competing for game time.
On the other hand, Alphonso Davies will also reunite with former Bayern Munich teammate David Alaba. Although the Austrian is currently out injured, he is expected to feature as a centre-back. And the pair could play alongside each other in white if the move does go through.Â
