Newcastle United have agreed a deal with Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli for the transfer of Allan Saint-Maximin. The winger has agreed a deal until 2026 with the club, and will become the latest to make the move to the Gulf State.
The player established himself as one of the top dribblers in the Premier League, and was known for his skillful footwork. While his game did not have a strong end product, he was able to create changes for teammates by carrying the ball remarkably well. And now, he will be bringing his talents to Al Ahli alongside several other Premier League players.
Roberto Firmino has already joined the club after leaving Liverpool as a free agent. Moreover, Riyad Mahrez has also joined them from Manchester City after winning the treble with them. Edouard Mendy joined them early in the transfer window from Chelsea.
Allan Saint-Maximin to sign for Al Ahli until 2026
The rumoured transfer fee for Saint-Maximin is around £35 million. Newcastle United have already brought in a replacement for the Frenchman, having signed Harvey Barnes from Leicester City.
The club also has Anthony Gordon, capable of playing out on the wings should Allan Saint-Maximin need to be replaced. The Magpies will be playing in the Champions League this season, and it will be interesting to see how they fare with their new signings.
On the other hand, the Saudi Pro League just keeps getting more top European players, increasing their overall value.
