According to a chart originated at MSI, Intel 11th Gen Core-K series will feature Core i5-11600K, Core i7-11700K, and Core i9-11900K. The Core i7 and i9 are an 8-core CPU, and the other is a 6-core CPU. Seeing the details provided by the company, the Core i9-11900K is a flagship chip from the Rocket Lake-S family.

The K series supports DDR4-3200 memory and 125W TDP (Thermal Design Power). Comparing to the Comet Lake-S series, there has been no change in TDP, but the memory support has been improved.

We know that the Core i9-11900K features a 3.5 GHz base clock speed. MSI claims, in Thermal Velocity Boost mode, the Core i9-11900K will boost up to 5.3 GHz and 4.8 GHz with all cores.

The Core i7 and Core i9 chip provide a 16MB of shared L3 cache memory. But the Core i5 comes with a 12MB L3 shared cache with 12-threads. These Rocket Lake-S processors are compatible with the existing Z490 motherboards (that enables PCI3 4.0 support).

To get the best out of it, the Z590 motherboard is a perfect one. For the short-lived LGA-1200 socket of Intel, Z590 will be the end line, and the rumored Z690 could replace it during the second half of 2021 after releasing the Alder Lake-S.

Alder Lake-S chip will be built on 10nm SuperFin technology of Intel, and it will feature a new LGA-1700 socket. This chip will be the first one from the processor family to support the new DDR5 memory technology, and this will be a hybrid CPU design.
