Team Ninja’s new action RPG, Strangers of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, was in highlights of E3 2021 multiple times. The game came up with an awful trailer, where a trio of characters dives into a quest to “Kill Chaos”.
Having some cringe-worthy dialogue and a painfully self-serious tone, it was truly the most confusing moment of this year’s show. Here we have brought all the details regarding Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin.
Release Date
There is no release date has been announced for Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, but Team Ninja has informed that the game will release sometime in 2022.
Reveal Trailer
After watching some impressive trailers at E3, I don’t know what will be your reaction after watching this one. It’s clearly a bizarre reveal for a game.
Gameplay Demo
In the gameplay, I can say that it seems an entertaining action game rather than a showcase of memes. But don’t think it was needed to show extensive navigation of menus and tutorial textboxes.
Storyline
This one is a pseudo-remake of the very first Final Fantasy. Stranger of Paradise takes place in the same fantasy world as that title and roughly features the premise and certain plot points of that game.
The creative producer, Tetsuya Nomura has described that Stranger of Paradise “is not a direct continuation to FF1’s story, but a new story inspired by it.” He added, “The game was inspired by FF1. The setting is based on FF1 as well. Where did the Warriors of Light come from and who are they? This is something you find out in the ending of FF1.”
The Character You Will Play
A character named Jack. Jack is the leader of the Warriors of Light. Really? Jack? A name of the lead in video-game-like Final Fantasy. He crushes the enemies into bloody crystals while screaming something like “I’ll crush you!” and “Feel the pain!”
