Here’s all-new Apple Launches in 2023

Users’ reactions to the new Apple Mac Studio and Studio Display are still filtering in, but additional news and rumours are ramping up as we look toward what’s coming later this year and beyond.

The long-awaited arrival of digital driver’s licences on the iPhone and Apple Watch was a huge storey this week. Currently, the feature is only available in one US state, but more will be added soon. Aside from that, there have been a lot of speculations this week concerning upcoming improvements to Apple’s notebook and iPhone lineups, as well as a possible new way to pay for your Apple devices, so keep reading for all the facts!

Arizona residents can now connect their driver’s licence or state ID to the Wallet app for iPhone and Apple Watch, giving a convenient and contactless way to display proof of identity or age, according to Apple. An iPhone 8 or later running iOS 15.4 is required, as is an Apple Watch Series 4 or later running watchOS 8.4 or later.

Arizona is the first state in the United States to enable IDs in the Wallet app, and 11 more states have pledged to do so. Users may simply tap their iPhone or Apple Watch on an identity reader at some TSA security checkpoints at select airports, including Phoenix Sky Harbor International, after uploading a driver’s licence or ID to the Wallet app.

iFixit, a repair website, has released a new video in which it disassembles Apple’s new Mac Studio and the Studio Display that goes with it. Although iFixit is still working on its regular, more extensive teardowns, the video does reveal a few fascinating features about the Mac Studio, such as the possibility of using the same-capacity storage.

The Studio Display, on the other hand, was revealed this week to have 64GB of storage and run a full version of iOS 15.4. Check out the most recent edition of The MacRumors Show, which features special guest Rene Ritchie, for more information on the Mac Studio and Studio Display.

According to Display Supply Chain Consultants’ research, Apple is working on a bigger 15-inch MacBook that could be delivered in 2023. According to new information, the display will be 15.2 inches in size, but it will not contain mini-LED or 120 Hz ProMotion technology, and it may not be marketed as a MacBook Air. Sources dispute whether it will be branded as a MacBook Air or something else.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman wrote in his newsletter last year that Apple considered making a 15-inch MacBook Air but decided against it for the “next generation,” implying that the rumoured 2022 MacBook Air with an M2 chip will remain a 13-inch device.

When Apple first announced the Studio Display earlier this month, it attracted similarities to LG’s UltraFine 5K Display, which was debuted in 2016. Because the Studio Display has a $300 higher starting price and a 27-inch screen with 5K resolution, we decided to compare the two screens to see which is a better deal.

While Apple’s so-called “iPhone 14” lineup is likely still a few months away from being shown, leaked blueprints have revealed some intriguing specifics regarding the future Pro versions. In comparison to the iPhone 13 Pro versions, the schematics reveal that the “iPhone 14 Pro” and “iPhone 14 Pro Max” could have a larger back camera bump and a somewhat thicker overall design.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is working on a hardware subscription service that would allow users to “subscribe” and receive an iPhone or other Apple item as part of their membership.

Customers will be able to subscribe to hardware with their Apple ID and App Store account, making the process of acquiring an iPhone or iPad “on par” with purchasing iCloud storage or paying for an Apple Music subscription.
